EVERYTHING IS BETTER
IN THE MOUNTAINS

It just is.

ABOUT US

Summit for Good is founded and led by James Legg, an experienced and passionate hill walker, mountaineer and outdoor enthusiast.

After two successful decades in the corporate world, James turned his attention to the mountains, seeking a fresh challenge.

Driven by a deep connection to the mountains, James is committed to exploring how we engage with nature and, most importantly, how we protect and preserve it for future generations.

With extensive experience across the UK and internationally, James continuously sharpens his skills and knowledge. As a qualified Mountain Leader, he is now progressing towards the prestigious International Mountain Leader qualification, further expanding his expertise.

James is also a seasoned fell and mountain runner, as well as an expedition mountaineer. Whether tackling short fell races in Snowdonia or embarking on multi-day self-supported treks in the Pyrenees, James is highly skilled in navigating and thriving in challenging environments—both for himself and those in his care.

In addition to leading small groups, James collaborates with a trusted network of highly skilled and qualified Mountain Leaders to deliver larger events and expeditions. This select team ensures that every adventure is safely managed, offering clients the best possible experience, no matter the scale.

Bringing his leadership experience from the corporate world, James seamlessly integrates crucial skills from the mountains into his work. From decision-making under pressure to managing risk and leading teams through uncertainty, the lessons learned in the wild resonate powerfully in both professional and personal environments.
